What's Next?

Greg Mankiw offers some explanations as to why women aren't as happy as they were.

I am not at all sure how to interpret this finding. It sounds like either the women's movement was a mistake or subjective happiness is not the right objective.

Why not posit this?  Women still face a wage gap versus men, yet there is no movement currently that shows them that they are currently, or will in the future, make progress.  And that's just one of many issues that you can categorize under "gender roles."
