It has to be Me

I've been working for a friend of mine not just doing accounting, but also front desk operations for him at his automotive shop.

There have been many moments where I feel like my ability to communicate substantive fact has been difficult by the reaction, or apparent lack of understanding, on the other end.

The damning piece of communication just recently that has essentially pointing the finger right back at myself is the following exchange on Reddit. Someone created a post regarding the FA20 WRX (model year 2021) continuing to have rev hang issues. (Engineering explained does a pretty good job explaining the what and whys here.) People were really nice about suggesting tips, and I even offered my own. And, as usual, with my normal trepidation - I found out why I don't wade into these waters.

Final count on comment votes as of (May 3, 2021) ended up being his comment got 6 upvotes (I downvoted 1 because, well, at least I did something). So, he got AT LEAST 7 total upvotes, and I'm down to 0, which means, I at LEAST got 2 total downvotes.

I mean, go to the wiki here
While double clutching is not necessary in a vehicle that has a synchronized manual transmission, the technique can be advantageous for smoothly upshifting in order to accelerate, and when done correctly it prevents wear on the "synchros" which normally equalize transmission input and output speeds to allow downshifting.

 I guess I just suck.
