Work Assignment - working with only a Trial Balance and GL Export

I had the dream again where I was going to a class that I had not been to all semester / year. It was close to finals, but NOT the final.

Usually the dream is for a science class in college. This time it was for an English class in high school. Miss Majercik's (pronounced "Meyer-sick").

I hate how real those dreams feel. 

I've been dealing with some stress at work with this project I've taken on working with a manager who must think I'm quite a dolt at this point.

What I'm used to - having previous year Working Papers, documentation, and Journal Entries ready. What that lets me to do is pretty much paint-by-numbers my way through the year-end-close process.

In this project, the client has come over with our new manager. I was asked to first input the ending 2025 Trial Balance figures from the client to our Excel document as a beginning number. Which is weird, I don't know how or where we're supposed to true up 2024's ending balances.

It's going to be one of those fun-for-me-but-not-my-timecard assignments.
