Who am I

Since I've been going through this separation (and dare I say, maybe even before then), I will see either first-hand, or second -hand, accounts of people discussing relationships and relationship troubles. I'll come across something like this: Lately, this guy lost his job, likely because of struggling with addiction, so now he stays at home smoking crack and getting drunk every day. Because I read the beginning of "this guy lost his job," despite everything behind it being the exact opposite  of me, I still can't help but wonder does this guy know me, or Mandi?* I understand it might not make anyone who reads this laugh, and likewise that's the beauty of writing these things out. There's a part of me that thinks this would be a great comment to relay as a joke to my therapist - the next thing I know, I'm defending any and all wants I ever had at being humorous. *This might need added context that I live a fairly straight-edged life.
